I know how much of a hassle it is when you are having to constantly turn your ice maker on and off when you are in need of ice. I was able to find a link that includes great information for an ice maker that won't stop making ice. I attached the link below. I hope this is helpful.

Thank you for your question. Getting too much ice can be a problem. This icemaker shows to have an arm extension. If there is no extension on the arm, the extension # 241720601 will be needed. If the extension is there and if it still won't stop, the icemaker # 5303918344 will need to be replaced. These parts are available at http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-pro-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-25344333603/3281/0165000?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=25344333603&sid=MMLxexpertxmerch . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

I can understand your concern. This can be a difficult repair. Sometimes it cannot be sealed. You can use some silicone # 8201711 that is available at SearsPartsDirect . Most local hardware stores will also carry some rtv sealant that can be used. When sealing around the drain tube, make sure there is not a lip that will hold any water back from draining. If all the water does not drain, it will eventually build up and freeze the drain closed. I recommend having a technician check this, to verify if it can be sealed. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I hope this will help you.
