Q:

Freezer not getting cold 25328093803 Kenmore Elite Freezer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your freezer and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 25328093803
and from description you may have an issue with electronic controller on the door. If the controller appears to be operating properly it may be an issue with controlleron the compressor. Usually if you hear clicking as if the unit is trying to start it will be the compressor controller. I hope this information helps with your troubleshooting. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the flashing power outage. If the freezer never lost power this would be a control board failure. First, try resetting the control, by disconnecting the power for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. If it continues to flash, the control # 297366205 will need to be replaced. It's available at http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/297366205/0046/253&sid=MMLxexpertxmerch . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Called Sears and the earliest time for service is going to be October 5th. Good thing the freezer is actually cold. They are sending part# I gave them and having the service rep install the part to maintain warranty. After scheduling the appointment with Sears service I called the sales associate that sold me the freezer. Told her the temperature controller was not working and she was actually looking in her stock to just send me a different unit. I had help putting the freezer in the basement on just Monday the 12th and was not looking forward to doing it again. So the sales associate is going to try and speed up the process. I know things can be defective right out of the box, like this freezer. Just do not like taking time out of my day because something was not tested before leaving Manufacture etc. Thanks for the help James R
