Q:

How do i install shelf. Shelf is hard metal and am having trouble bending shelf to fit into holes in the Freezer side 25326482100 Kenmore Elite Freezer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your freezer. Upon researching model 25326482100; you would have the shelf at a slant. Install one side first then push the other side down till it lock in the holes. If you have it slanted down then you would push up. Make sure to push more on the frame and not the glass and push up or down evenly on the front and back.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question. Based on the information listed this does lead to a defective main control module # 216979700. The control board in the door is, for the display and setting the temperature. The module controls all the functions of the unit and the display board. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank for the reply. It took me a couple of weeks before I worked the stored food in the freezer to a small amount. I just changed out the main control module and nothing changed. The control display is still blank and the freezer is still running nearly continuously. Any ideas? If I need to replace the Electronic Control Board #216979600 in the door display what needs to come apart to reach it?

A:

Allen, if the screen is still blank, it could be a defective display board # 216979600 or a loose wire connection. To access this board, the overlay # 216947501 will need to be peeled off. The overlay will usually be damaged when peeling it off and it will need to be replaced. With the overlay off, you will be able to access the display board. Now, this board will not have a bearing on the run time of the unit. Its not unusual for this unit to run for long periods of time. If the temperature is maintaining a temperature of 0 to 5 degrees, it's ok. If the temperature is getting excessively cold below 0 and the board has been replaced, first adjust it to a warmer setting. If it still gets too cold, it would lead to a defective sensor # 297018400. I hope this will help you.
