A:

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with your freezer. The owner's manual you have received from Marc is, the correct manual for this freezer and it will be for more than just this model. Now, if the freezer has stopped running completely, the 2 most likely reasons will be either the thermostat or the defrost timer. A good check for the thermostat will be to turn it off completely and then back on. If the contact is stuck, sometimes this will free it. In this case, the thermostat # 216715200 would need to be replaced because the contact could stick again. To check the timer, turn the dial on the front of it clockwise and if the unit starts, the timer # 297318010 will need to be replaced. The timer is located next to the compressor. I hope this will help you.

A:

The evaporator fan must work or there will not be any good cooling.

The ice you see may be blocking the fan.

The ice build up from when the door was left open will have to be melted. The quickest way will be to turn the unit off and leave the door open.

Once melted you should be able to hear the fan running. If not then the fan may have failed.

The unit will get cold with a bad fan but it will not get as cold as it should to keep ice cream hard.
