Q:

freezer does not seem to turn run continually 25321021105 Kenmore Freezer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more then happy to assist you. Looking at the information looks like its not sealing properly. There is a simple test you can preformed to make sure you gaskets are sealing properly. First take a flash light and check the out side make sure no cracks, tears, holes, and other damage. Make sure its clean and there's nothing that would privet it from making contact, also on the fridge frame. Close the freezer door on a crisp dollar bill. The bill’s paper is the perfect thickness for checking gasket seals. Pull out the bill. You should feel resistance. If the bill slips out easily, your gasket isn't sealing and should be replaced. Test along the length of the sides, top and bottom. Test each corner. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can Click Here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. That link for a previous answer that James R. posted in the above response discusses a similar problem. You could have a bad controller on that compressor. A wiring failure or a bad compressor could also cause this problem. I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you suspect that the controller on the compressor is bad and you want to fix this failure yourself, you can order the controller (part 216649318) from the Sears PartsDirect website. Unplug the freezer before accessing internal components and replacing that component.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Q:

What can cause this freezer to quit working?

A:

From the description of your problem, I think you're saying the compressor is still running but not cooling. If the compressor is running but no cooling is taking place, the problem is usually in the seal system. This can be a restriction, low charge or the compressor may not be pumping properly. A technician will be required to make these checks. Another reason could be, if it's located in an area, where the compressor may overheat (picture is also for uprights). If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
