Question and Answers

Q:

Is there any way to power wash or air blast dried mouse nest debris from the motor area of freezer?

A:

I would not recommend you power wash the motor compartment of your freezer. There is a relay and overload inside the terminal cover of the compressor and water would short them out.

You can use air pressure to blow out the motor compartment. After you clean it you might want to wipe it down with some Pine-sol or something to eliminate the odor.

Q:

How do I clean mouse nest debris from the area around the motor of my chest freezer?

A:

Remove the access plate from the machine compartment located on the left side of the freezer. There will be 2 screws in the top and the temperature adjust knob to remove. due to health issues I would wear rubber gloves and remove as much of the debris as possible by hand. Then vacuum the compartment completely.
