Q:

I need help attaching the clutch wheel cable. Part Number (746-04445) I don't know where to attach the spring under the lawnmower? 247.887330

A:

Page 19 of your owner's manual shows a drawing of the belt drive system and the idler pulley. That cable should attach to the idler pulley. Unfortunately, we don't have a specific image of that connection. If you are not able to properly connect that clutch cable, I recommend that you have the mower serviced by a technician.

I noted that this question is a year old but here is the procedure to replace the drive cable on the 33" walk behind mower. Remove the front deck cover by removing the three bolts in center, left side and right side. The idler lever is about two inches under the remaining deck cover on the left side (as if you are behind the mower). The spring attaches to this lever just by hooking the open end of the spring through the hole in the lever. Before doing that, cut the zip ties on the handle to free the cable housing. Remove the end of the cable from the lever. Using a pair of needle nose pliers, squeeze the tabs together to allow you to remove the anchor housing from the bracket. Lift the rubber grommet on the end to move the cable out of the bracket. Perform a similar procedure on the cable housing anchor on the rear of the chassis. Note the hole next to the cable housing anchor. This is large enough for the spring to go through. Using thin rod or coat hanger, tape the spring to it an push it through the large hole to the front of the deck. Once the spring is at the front of the deck, untape it and hook it to the idler lever. Go to the rear of the mower and push in the cable housing anchors until they snap into place. Insert the cable end into the hole in the lever, replace the zip tie on the handle and replace the deck cover with the three bolts making sure to get it properly in place. The plastic goes on the outside of the frame members. Estimated time to complete: 30 - 45 minutes working slowly and carefully.
