Q:

I cannot get the wheel off of snowking model 247.88190? Any suggestions? 247.88190

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having getting the wheel off the snow thrower. I know how frustrating that is.

I would recommend draining the gas and lifting the snow thrower up and allow it to rest on the auger housing so the wheels are off the ground. Place the shift lever in the third forward (F3) position.

From there you can remove the screw and washer that secures the wheel to the axle. Once removed, if the wheel doesn't slide off the axle, soak it with some penetrating oil and allow it to penetrate for a while. Once soaked, lightly tap the wheel and it should break free if it's rusted or stuck on the axle.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

snowblower makes several beeps when starting 247.88190

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I know how frustrating strange noises can be and not being able to properly identify them.

I found absolutely no information on any type of alarm or service minder for this snow thrower. The noise has to be something mechanical, such as a pinging in the fuel system, sticking bearings, or the belts. You could have one of the pulley bearing that are sticking. They can become intermittent and squeaky when they are sticking. That would be the best recommendation we can offer. A technician would need to come out and physically diagnose and trace where the sound is emanating from to provide a more detailed analysis.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
