Q:

how to replace shift cables 247270200 Craftsman Riding mower

A:

I did not find a shop manual or video for that repair. You can refer to the parts diagram to see the connections of the shift cables. Once you pull the hood off, you should be able to trace the cables and replace them.

Q:

754-0453 v belt 247270200 Craftsman Riding mower

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Craftsman Riding Mower, Model: 247.270200. From reviewing the details on your model, it appears that on the drive system the system uses two belts under the part number 954-0453, which is a direct substitute for part number 754-0453.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the riding mower to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

I show that this transmission is replaced as an assembly; they do not show any internal parts for it. The part number for it is 918-04092 and it should price around $200.

Do check the wheels. If the rear wheels have an axle key it could just be missing the key and that will be all that is wrong. It doesn't sound like that will be the case, but it only takes a moment to check for that.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!
