We don't have information for that model 911.3020791 in our system. I provided a complete list of Kenmore ranges starting with 911.3020 . . . that we have information for in the image below. The manual that James provided in the above response should help you with the functions of the cook top. The blower in back of the cook top appears to be a separate appliance that may have its own model number. You can check that blower for a model number or a part number that we can use to find technical information on that appliance. I checked our records but I could not find information on a blower. If that fan is not working, you could have a problem with the switch, the wiring or the fan motor. Shut off the house circuit breaker or pull the house fuse for that circuit before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details (including the model number or part number for the blower if you can find one) and we will assist you further.

If you get to a point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair this system, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Thank you kindly for your help & reply. The Kenmore range model no. was in the photo I attached in my original post. Is there any reason why my exact range in the Kenmore system, you can see it is a Kenmore product. And could someone at Kenmore lookup the details / correct model no. via the serial number - the lady I talked to on the phone said she could not look it up... Kenmore should have the actual range details via the serial number record (that's what serial no's are for). I looked at the motorized exhaust system that pops up at the rear of the counter top range (in my original picture) blower and you are correct: a) it is a standalone unit from the range, b) there is a nameplate on the motor underneath. See attached pics... it reads Kenmore Range Fan 500 cu-ft/min model no. 233.5999302; I do not see a serial no. but it may be at the bottom right of the nameplate 99077684A. See images. The range lnks you provided gave parts diagrams but not operating manual - which is ok since there are not many functions or things to go wrong except the sparker (which did fail due to plugged inlet air bleed line). For the exhaust fan I need something like FAQ or "what to do if the fan isn't working," e.g., 1. check this 2. check that 3. do this 4 do that etc. etc. Thanks in advance for your expert help / advice.

Thanks for the additional information about that blower. I contacted the product engineer for that Kenmore product directly regarding the lack of technical and parts information for that model cooktop model 911.3202791. Due to the holidays, I will probably not get a response until after January 3, 2012 on that cook top. I will update this thread once I get a response. Regarding the blower, I found a part number for the manual (99041728) but I did not find an online copy in electronic form. You can order the hard copy of that manual from the Sears PartsDirect.com website (see link below). I do not know how much troubleshooting that the manual has. I checked for technical information on the exhaust fan but did not find any information on that model (probably due to the age). We have limited technical information on some products that were manufactured before 2000. The parts diagram on the Sears PartsDirect.com website is all that I find at this time on the blower. I will contact the manufacturer to see if I can get more information on that blower. If you receive that manual and need more help with the blower, let us know and we will try to assist you further. That type of blower is often difficult to troubleshoot and repair. You may need to have a service technician examine it and repair your failure.

I contacted Sears/Parts and they said I had to purchased the manual which would be sent by surface mail for cost of $10.48. That seems pretty unreasonable to me - for a manual for an appliance that was already purchased from Sears/Kenmore. I have done the same with Bosch, Electrolux, Maytag and others and they gave me manuals no charge saying they do this for valued customers. From Sears/Parts chat discussion: Henry D.: The manual costs $10.48. You: That is pretty high - printing out costs less than a buck and sending by 1st class mail no more than a couple of bucks. Is it a discretionary or as Sears calls it "convenience" fee charging for back office overhead? Henry D: The manual itself is $2.49. Standard shipping is $7.99, and this is based on the order total, not the weight. Henry D: We are unable to alter the fees or costs associated with this order. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. You: Both costs seem high. It takes 15 seconds to cut a pdf file and another 15 seconds to send by email. The shipping fee is Fedex and not USPS. I will try to find another way.

Hello Danley. I assume that the manual that Sears Parts was referring to for that cook top is the one that is shown in the link that I provided below. You may be able to print that manual out in hard copy since it is a PDF file. I did not find a separate manual or parts listing for the exact model 911.3202791. If you need more help with getting a copy of that manual, let me know.

No , I opened the link and saved the information on the "manual" for the counter top range - not really a manual but a parts diagram and ordering information. I still have no insights on how to get the "owners' manual." No - the chat I had with with Sears/Parts was about the Kenmore blower unit which info was not available online. They would not tell me the content and wanted me to ante up to buy information sight unseen that may or may not be useful or useless. I suspect I also could get an "owner's manual from them for the counter top range, but they would charge me - so that'd be $10.48 + $10.48 = $23 for a couple of owners manuals for legacy products bought in the '90s. Hooray, I thought Sears has everything. I'll have to pass. Any other ideas/ alternatives?

I have not heard back from the product engineer about the owner's manual for that cook top yet. I should hear something today or tormorrow. I looked for an online version of the manual for the downdraft blower. That document does not appear to be available online at this time. I will see if we can get that added to our system. I will update this thread once I receive more information.

The product engineer indicates that the manual for Kenmore cook top model 911.3202591 should work for model 911.3202791 since those models have identical components. I provided the link for that manual below this response. If you need more help, let us know.
