Q:

Correct part numbers for a charcoal filter and a light lens (cover) for Kenmore range hood. 233.52052001

A:

The part number for the charcoal filter appears to be correct.

The light lens SNTK7504000 will likely fit that model. The last digit of the model number is a revision number. The later revisions of that model (such as 233.52052002) use the light lens cover 97018564. According to the part images, light lens SNTK7504000 appears to be nearly identical to 97018564. The member could likely use either one.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I see that the part is referred to as baffle in the parts list but on page 8 of the Use and Care/Installation manual it is referred to as a Vent Cover. According to the instructions it says to install the vent cover/baffle into the slot behind the louvers at the front of the hood. You must install the baffle/vent cover in the slot to prevent the exhaust from blowing out the front instead of the rear.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

A:

This type of problem is normally caused by a failed fan switch, bad fan motor or a wiring failure between these components. I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this type of failure in the range hood. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .
