Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Tilting or leaning the mower over can result in gas leaking into the air filter and filter housing.

The carburetor bowl and float assembly will have gas in it and if the mower is tilted, the fuel can leak into the air filter. Remove and dry the air filter and it should be okay.  If fuel continues to leak into the air filter when the mower is upright, the needle and float could be stuck inside the fuel bowl or it may need a new needle valve and seat.

This may be the issue. If not, please reply and I will be glad to assist you further.

If the fan will only run when set on low speed, it indicates a problem with either the switch or motor. To determine if the switch or motor is the problem, the wires on the switch can be jumped. First disconnect power to the unit. Set the switch to high speed and now disconnect the RY wire and the BK wire from the fan switch and connect them together (see attached diagram). Reconnect the power (be careful these wires will be live) and if the fan runs, the board # 6871A01001B will need to be replaced. If the motor still won't run, the motor # 4681A20041H will need to be replaced.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Safety Notice: Be sure to disconnect the appliance before performing any troubleshooting procedures. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks or repairs that might be recommended, please contact a local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
