My deep freeze will not freeze items.

A:

With the freezer not working can be frustrating especially being an appliance we all depend on. I have taken the time to research on the Manage My Life website and have located a link similar to your issue. While you are waiting for an expert to reply I have attached the link below.

You could have an air leak through the rusted areas on the bottom edges. You could also have a problem with the door seal gasket. If you see a lot of frost inside the freezer, this normally indicates that you have a leak of warm, moist air into the compartment. In that situation, you may need to replace the gasket on the door (lid) and possibly seal the leaks in the cabinet. I recommend that you have a technician seal leaks in the cabinet. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you do not find any excessive frost in the freezer, then you could have a weak compressor or low refrigerant charge. A service technician would need to repair this type of problem with the sealed refrigerant system.

It may not be economically feasible to repair this freezer. If it needs repair by a technician, I recommend that you replace the refrigerator instead of trying to repair it. You can view current freezer models on the Sears.com .

If you need more help, reply with additional details.
