Thank you for your question. The thermostat sensor can be a little tricky to remove and replace. The sensor normally fit inside a small tube that extends upward into the cabinet. The sensor can get stuck (frozen) inside this tube and be very difficult to pull out. I recommend moving the food from inside the freezer and turning the freezer off, to allow the tube to thaw out. The sensor should pull out much easier now. If this sensor were to break, it would very difficult to get it out and in some cases, might not get it out. Now before pulling the sensor tube out, mark the end of it, where it enters the tube. This needs to be done, so you can measure how much of the tube extends inside or match the length to the new sensor. The new sensor must extend into the tube the same length or it will not work properly. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, please reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further. Any additional details will also be helpful. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
