Due to no interior lights coming on, I believe you're having a power failure. I recommend that you unplug the dryer and check the outlet plug wire connections on the terminal block at the back of the dryer. Make sure that the wire connections on this component are secure. You can also check the continuity through the outlet cord if you have a volt/ohm meter.

To check a 240 volt outlet for an electric dryer or range, the image below displays a diagram on the bottom, of the procedure. It shows the voltages that you should measure from a typical 4 prong outlet. NOTE: Be careful. Do not touch the bare metal of the meter leads when measuring this live outlet voltage.

Assuming that the light is not burnt out, you could have a bad door switch that is preventing the dryer from running. The light should turn on when you open the dryer door. Since it does not, the door switch is the most suspect component based on your symptoms. Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections to the door switch. If the connections are okay, you may need to replace the door switch. Your door switch is part number 3406107 at the price of $17.63. You can order this part from Sears Parts Direct . The second image provided shows how to access and replace the switch.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
