Q:

Need cloth filter assembly 1758579280 Kenmore Home cleaning system

Q:

Need a spray nozzle for this model 1758579280 Kenmore Home cleaning system

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when needing to replace the spray nozzle on your home cleaning system. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found the nozzle assembly. I do apologize the nozzle assembly for your unit is no longer available by the original manufacture to purchase. After 5-10 years the manufactures stop selling parts for certain units. I did find that your unit is form 1987. I do recommend using the part number 643571-009 to see if you are able to locate a used part. If you are unable to locate a new part you may need to purchase a new unit. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know why it is acting this way when you turn it on.

It sounds like the counter weight on the float is no longer there. You try an experiment and tape a nickel to the bottom of the float to see if it will stay down when you are vacuuming.

Have you tried to vacuum up any wet carpet with it because if it has not been used for awhile the pump may be seized up?

This home cleaning system is a 1980s and is obsolete with no parts available because the manufacture is out of business.

I am sorry that I cannot help you more. But if you have more questions please reply and I will help you as much as I can.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
