Q:

I own a Craftsman Buffer/Polisher model 172.10721. I am replacing the plug assembly and need to match up the standard white and black to polisher brown or blue.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the polisher. I looked up the model number you submitted. It looks like the unit has a connector block in side of it. The black wire from cored should connect to the block that has the wire going to the on/off switch. The white wire from the cord should connect to the other wire that goes to the rectifier regulator. The image below is a wiring diagram for the unit. Click on the image to enlarge it. I am sorry is does not have the wire colors. The manufacturer does not divulge this information.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

The model number you gave me does not come up (as you mentioned). I think the model you have is 172.10721. Here is a parts link to that Craftsman Buffer/Polisher model number 172.10721 .

I assume you need the Base plate for your Craftsman Buffer/Polisher model number 172.10721 which is key number 24 on the diagram.

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.
