Looking for User Manaul for Craftsman Professional Dovetail jig

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Based upon the description of the Craftsman professional dovetail jig, sometimes also referred to as an industrial dovetail jib, I was able to find a manual that may help. I have linked it below.

It is not so much the router but the Dovetail Jig these router bits need to match. That Dovetail Jig is model number 171.25450. Without the replacement bits for the old part numbers i cannot make dovetails with this jig I recently bought used from another woodworker.

I cannot find Dovetail bit numbers 26319 and 26318 for the craftsman dovetail jig 25790. The 3 bit set indicated by Craftsman works with the 1/2 inch bit, while the 1/4 inch bit does not. It appears the 3rd bit has nothing to do with the Dovetail jig.Where can I find the two bits needed for this Jig? The local Sears store sells the Jig (has one on display), but doesn't have the bits, nor could they find them. The bits do not come with the Jig. Its like buying a car without wheels, and then find out they aren't even available Richard

I will be happy to assist you. We no longer offer the 1/4 inch dovetail bit. That bit is used for thinner stock than most crafters use. If you want the 1/4 inch bit you can order them from a specialty wood working site. The link below will take you to one site. As for the 1/2 inch bit you can use any 1/2 inch dovetail bit. The dovetail bit kit we sell is a good value. The stock number for that kit is 26354. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
