Q:

Microwave Light JVM1651AB004 Ge Microwave

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I know how much a time saver a microwave is and know you want to get it working quickly. In this case, I would suggest you have a qualified technician test or replace the unit.

Unfortunately, we cannot give advice on repairing or troubleshooting the microwave because they contain high voltage internal components that can retain lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is off. So for safety reasons I would recommend having this repair done by a qualified technician. You can schedule service at www.Searshomeservices.com

Thank you for your understanding on the situation. Have a great day.

Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com. I understand how important it is to be able to get parts for your Bissell. I have found five model numbers close to what you have:
1653
1653 (1995)
1653-2
1653-4
16534
I was unable to locate model number 1653c specifically. Please visit www.SearsPartsDirect.com to look at the schematics of the above models. One of them may be similar to what you have. I'm sorry I couldn't be more specific with your unit.
If you have further questions please let me know. Thanks for using ManageMyLife.com.

Hi Terrie! I'm sorry about the confusion but after reviewing this question again, I noticed your email is a Canadian email.  If the Bissell was purchased in Canada, our US systems will not be able to pull any parts. Please contact our Canadian PartsDirect at 1-800-361-6665.

Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com.

Hi Desirea! Thank you for your help. I will give that number a call. In the meantime, I used some plastic glue to fix the liquid delivery cap and with the use of a towel under it, I am able to use my ancient but still functional Little Green Machine.

Q:

my microwave keeps shutting

A:

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties with your Microwave. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. I strongly suggest that you have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. I have provided a link To Sears Home Services if you decide to schedule service. If you think it may be cost effective to just replace the unit, I have also provided a link to the Microwave section of Sears.com to price out what a replacement would cost.

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having a problem with your microwave.

Caution:  Microwaves do not make good do-it-yourself projects.  Even unplugged from the wall some parts retain a lethal amount of voltage.

Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as <INSERT NATURE OF QUESTION HERE>, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with <a href="http://services.sears.com/shs/category/repair?MML=MMLxexpertxmerch">Sears Home Services</a> or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.
