Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know if the air hose you have can be used for paint hose from the bucket to the gun.

I would suggest that you use a paint supply hose because it has a liner in the hose that the paint will not stick too and will clean easily.

You can use the air hose material but it has a tendency to hold onto the paint and not clean all the paint out when you flush the hose to clean up, and with the next use there could be some paint residue left that could come loose and plug the nozzle on the gun.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thanks Sam! I am an analytical person, so curiosity is getting the better of me. Are there any other differences than the internal lining of the hose? I have found some information that states the fittings are different, the moisture retention is different, etc. Is any of that true?

Thank you for your update. As long as you are using a paint rated hose you will not have any problems. I do not know about any differences in the fittings or moisture retention. I am sure there is a science involved with all this material but I have not had any problems other than needing a paint rated hose. I am sure there are specialized hoses for handling other chemicals but I have not needed to use any of them. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
