Thank you for your question.I am sorry you are having a problem with the grill wiring. The side burner has a few wires. The first is the ground. That wire has a wider connector and a narrow connector. The wide connector goes to the wide terminal on the igniter. The narrow connector plugs onto the burner valve. Then you should have one single wire. This wire connects to the igniter on one end and to the burner electrode on the other. Once connected like this the unit should work. I also posted an image below that has the instructions. Just click on the image to enlarge it.   I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.   Thank you for using Manage My Life. Mark T.

I have seen the diagrams that you show and the wiring in my grill does not match that. The diagram you show is step 18/19 in the manual. The wire from the side burner valve (it was already connected when I unboxed the grill) runs to the rightmost main burner valve. It is fused with 2 other wires. These can not be separated! One wire runs to the igniter. The other wire is much smaller and appears much like a ground wire. It has a wide connector. In fact there is a similar gauge wire which is grounded to the frame. I may have to send you a picture but there is no way to connect the grill as shown in the diagrams.

I am also seeing the same issue. I have one wire the orange that was already connected to the side burner and the directions say to take the other end and connect it to the starter knob but its not working. It should be connected to the battery box somehow I have tried connecting it directly but no good. Any ideas what I can be missing it looks like it's missing an additional wire. I have the Model # PG-40612SOL.
