I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your grill. Since all of the burners work individually then your problem is likely in the regulator or the tank. Try using a freshly filled tank to see if all of the burners will work properly. If not, then you may need to replace the regulator to fix this problem. It is not applying enough gas pressure to operate all of the burners. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I can understand your need for some type of instructions on how to properly check to see if your ignitor needs to be replaced. Some of these questions that are asked will need specific research and will be answered by an expert with-in two business days but usually sooner.

Your symptoms seem to indicate that you may have a problem with the burner igniter switch on the manifold. You indicated that the side burner ignition system works. Do any of the igniters on the main burners work? The parts diagram shows that each burner has an igniter electrode.  Here is a link for that parts diagram: Kenmore Grill Model 141.16671 Repair Parts.  If a single igniter is not sparking but the electrodes work on all of the other burners, then you likely have a bad electrode for that burner. If none of the electrodes on the main burner system spark, then you will probably need to replace that igniter switch.
