I can understand how important it is to have the right information for your grill. However, this model is set up for only Natural Gas. It is not designed to be converted to LP. It is because of that, we don't have the information on the orifice sizes or the BTUs. I do not recommend that you tempt to covert this to a different fuel source. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Anne J The only difference between the two grills is the orfice. If you were to check your parts book you will see that the gas valve is different because of the orfice everything else is the same. When natural gas became available in some of the areas I serviced, I converted many appliances. If you do not know the answer just tell me. I have others ways to obtain the information, but it will take time.

Tony, I understand that you can converate many appliances including grills. However, this model is not design to be changed. The Natual Gas model is only set up of NG and the LP model is only set up for LP. The grill are manufactured with exact specifications, which is why there is one for NG and one for LP. There are no conversions kit or instructions available for you to do this. If you choose to convert your grill, you will void any warranty on it, extended or not. And if there is ever a recall or rework on this product the manufacturer is not responsible for fixing it. I strongly recommend that you don't convert your grill, but the choice is entirely yours. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

One possibility I have experienced is that the safety mechanism on your gas tank is confused. This has happened to me multiple times, and it is caused by opening the tank valve too quickly. Strange as it seems, I was always able to fix it by closing the valve completely and opening it slowly.

Thank you for your question on the grill not getting above 300 degrees.

If you have not replaced the cast iron burners I would suggest that your do so.

The cast iron burner holes may be block with deteriorating cast as it rusts over time.

You will need to remove the top grates and then favor plates and remove the burners from there location to examine there condition.

If you find many of the holes in the burner blocked I would suggest either drilling out the holes to clean them up or replace with new burners.

Since these burners are $50.00 a piece I would suggest cleaning them first to see if that will help.

I will give you a link for new burners.

Cast iron burners for model 141.166400 BBQ grill .

Please let me know what you find with the burners and if they appear to be okay then let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot with that information.
