I understand needing to have further information regarding this issue with your grill. I am happy to help. I would suggest that you first purge the air from the gas line or reset the Regulator excess gas flow device. The steps for doing this are within the manual on page 18. If you do not have a copy, please click here. Opening the tank valve all the way too quickly is what triggers the Regulators safety device to shut down the gas flow which prevents excessive gas flow to the grill. Lighting the burner farthest from the fuel source every time will help eliminate air pockets in the Manifold. This procedure should be done every time a new LP gas tank is connected to your grill.

If the propane tank is not empty and the valve is operational, then I suspect that the regulator is defective. However, be sure the burners have been cleaned properly first to ensure the gas flow. If the burners are fine then it might be best to replace the regulator. The regulator with hose is part number P03601034A, and can be ordered at Sears Parts Direct.

Thank you for your question on the BBQ grill gas valve not turning on.

If you have pushed the valve in and turned to the left and it will not move you are going to need to replace the whole manifold assembly with the all the valves at the same time. You may want to remove the front panel and to gain access to the gas valves and then remove the two screws on the cover of the valve that is seized and see if you can free it up and put some valve grease in the valve. Grease for gas valve .

You may also find it at a LP BBQ grill gas supplier or a hardware store or home center. Most of this grease is graphite grease that you should be able to get locally.

I will give you a link to the parts below.

Thank you.

Make sure the grill is cool and okay to touch. Look on the back bottom side of the burners and you should see a little pin holding it down. Pull that pin out and the burner will pull right out. Then set the new burner in place and push the pin through to lock it down.

If you have any further questions please let me know.
