HI I just moved into a home that the previous owner installed this opener. I would like to program the opener to my car. However, the remotes are missing. Is there a way to program to my car without the remotes?

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for joining our conversation about the Craftsman garage door opener model 13953995SRT. Congratulations on your new home. I am sorry the previous owner didn’t leave you the remotes. I will be happy to help you with your programming questions.

I recommend you start by cancelling all the previously programmed codes. Someone who has the missing remotes will not be able to access your garage once you cancel the old codes. Please use the link I provided previously to view the owner’s manual online.

Next, to program the garage door opener to your car you will need to follow the instructions provided in the vehicle’s owner’s manual. Make sure you clear any codes you have previously programmed in the car’s remote control. If the car doesn’t link with the garage door opener you may need software updates to correct the incompatibility. Your vehicle manufacturer can normally assist you with programming the car remote.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

13953995SRT Door won't open but light comes on. 13953995SRT Craftsman Garage door opener

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your garage door opener. Upon researching model 11066732500; check the door spring. To test it you will manually open the door to about waist level. If the door goes back down the springs could have failed. If the door stays at the level it was opened to then the spring is good. It could be the motor capacitor has failed.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.
