Q:

Logic board bad on garage door opener? 13953930D Craftsman Garage door opener

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help you. Upon researching model 13953930D  the logic board is the main brain of the unit. Usually it will cause more issues than that. I would try a second remote and re-link the remote with the opener. If a second remote is not working then it could be that the receiver portion of the logic board is failing. If failing then it could have to be replaced with new logic board.  Also when you hit the button on the remote look at the led by the learn button and see if it flashes and how many times. The flashing is a diagnostic light.

If you have any further questions please re-post. Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

Thanks for the reply David. I've discovered I have a craftsman universal remote control conversion kit. Model 139.53683. It is actually this kit that is clicking once, when I hit the remote button. I discovered I simply had a loose wire from the kit to the opener. Working fine now. You may have helped save me from buying the expensive logic board I didn't need. Thx! Is it easy enough for you send me a link to order replacement remote controls for my kit? I would like two new ones (I lost one and have three vehicles).
