Same question as before!!!! 13953641SRT Craftsman Garage door opener

Q:

Garage door will open but not close 13953641SRT Craftsman Garage door opener

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Craftsman garage door opener model 139.53675SRT2. I am so sorry the door will not close. I know you want this issue resolved quickly so you can feel confident that the garage is secure. I will be happy to help you with this.

There are a few issues that could prevent the door from closing. There could be an issue with the safety sensors. The door could be out of balance. Or the force and limits may need to be adjusted. I have included some links that will take you through the steps to test and correct these issues.
I have started with a link to our garage door opener troubleshooting guides and the manual for your model. The manual includes the instructions for testing the safety sensors and for adjusting the door travel limits and force. If the door isn’t closing, the down force may need to be increased.

I have also included our manufacturer’s door balance test. If the door fails the balance test you will need a qualified technician to balance the door for you. It is a dangerous process if you are not well versed in how to complete the repair.

I have also included the manufacturer’s link on checking the safety sensors which includes checking the wiring.

If the sensors are fine, disconnect the door from the trolley. This will prevent the opener from engaging while you are performing a visual inspect of the rails. Look for anything that may be interrupting the travel of the trolley.

SAFETY WARNING: Disconnect the power supply before beginning your repair to prevent the risk of electrical shock which can result in property damage, serious personal injury or even death. If you are not comfortable completing this repair, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

I have green lights on the safety sensors... The door is fine and have been working it manually for a week, also there is no balance problems. I have turned the worm gear until trolley alone, reaches about half way down the track and pushed the wall button and the trolley goes to the stop and that is it... when I push the button again, the motor unit clicks and nothing else. I did notice a flashing green light near where the SRT button is located and it flashes five times.
