A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your garage door opener. Upon researching model number 13953674SRT1; if the light bulb can interfere with the signal if it’s an LED light. A regular light bulb wouldn’t interfere with the signal like an LED. There could be an issue with the logic board if there’s a regular light bulb in the unit.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

Opener will not go back & forth on rail even with no load 13953674SRT1 Craftsman Garage door opener

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Craftsman garage door opener model 13953674SRT1.  I am so sorry the opener will not go back and forth on the rail. I know you want to get this resolved quickly so you can secure your garage. I will be happy to help you with this.

There are a few issues that can keep the door from moving. I recommend you start by checking for anything caught in the rail. Make sure you disconnect the power to the opener while conducting your inspection. You don’t want the door to suddenly start moving. Test to see if the door is balanced. I have included a link to our manufacturer’s instructions on how to test that. If the door fails the balance test you will need to have a qualified technician balance the door for you. This is not a do-it-yourself type of repair.

If the door is balanced, then you may need to adjust the door limits and force. With the change in seasons, they need to be adjusted periodically. Follow the instructions in the manual on this.

I have also included a link to our manufacturer's troubleshoot guides.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
