Question and Answers

Q:

Replace parts for craftsman garage door opener 139.53663SRT2

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Unfortunately, both of those parts have been discontinued and there is not a direct substitute offered for them. The only viable option I can foresee would be to run an online internet search for the part numbers to see if you can find them in circulation.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Part compatibility 13953663SRT Craftsman 1/2 hp garage door opner

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

We don't have model 13953663SRT2 in our database. The ending digit '2' would indicate a revision from the original model of 139.53663SRT. The '2' would indicate a second revision. That would mean that some parts may have changed or have been updated. If you have the owner's manual for the model you have, there should be a parts list at the end with part numbers. I cannot say with certainty whether the trolley rack will work or if it has been changed from the original, but the trolley rack is a pretty standard component, and I wouldn't anticapate a change. The owner's manual for you're model would tell  though.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Why will my garage door opener model 139.53675SRT2 only learn 1 remote control?

A:

Page 33 of your manual is shown in the image below. You indicated that have 2 remotes and the keyless entry pad. You did not indicate that you have a premium control console installed. The instructions for programming the keyless entry pad are provided in the second image. I recommend following the instructions for programming the keyless entry using the LEARN button on the motor unit as described in the second image. After programming the keyless entry pad, use the LEARN button on the motor to program the remotes as described in the first image. Do not hold down the LEARN button to erase all remotes during this process. This will erase all of the codes from all of the previous remotes that you just programmed.

It is unlikely that you have a logic board problem. If you need more help with programming the remotes, resubmit your question with additional details.

A:

Ok, I have two of these remotes...one is a keychain and one is a visor...and when trying to program them with this opener neither will open the garage door. The light beside the SRT light blinks when I press the remote button but nothing happens. These remotes are the remotes that came with this opener but the landlord reset the garage door opener. He gave them to me and said to program them.
