Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Craftsman Garage Door opener model number 139.53628SRt1.

WHEN YOU HEAR THE HUM BUT WILL NOT RUN:

1.  Trolley jammed into stop bolt.  You need to visually check location of trolley.  Repair and and make adjustments if needed.

2.  Defective capacitor.   Substitute a good capacitor.  Replace if problem is fixed.

3.  Defective wiring or connector(S).  Check for continuity.  If need be repair or replace wire or connector(s).

4.  Defective motor bearings.  You can remove the motor and turn the shaft by hand.  If the shaft will not turn freely, then need to replace the motor.

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your garage door opener. You can access the board and use the handle of a screwdriver to tap on the relays while someone tries to activate the door. Normally doing that won’t free up the relay, but it’s worth a shot. The alternative is to just buy a new logic board and replace it. This is part number 41A4315-7C, and will cost about 94.34 plus shipping and tax. You an order it from this link:  Sears Parts Direct.  If you don't feel comfortable replacing this yourself, you can schedule service at this link: Sears Home Services. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance or have additional questions, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
