Q:

makes a buzzing sound 139536006 Craftsman Sears electronic garage door opener

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your garage door opener. Upon researching model 139536006; it sounds like the drive gear may be stripped causing the door opener not open and letting you hear the motor trying to open the door. You can unplug the garage door opener and check the gears if you see gear shavings then the gear may need to be replaced. I have posted a link of the gear kit to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Q:

I have garage door opener 139.536006..it went down but not up

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your garage door opener. Upon researching model 139.536006; if the garage door opener will not open but you can hear the motor operating you may need to replace the worm drive gear. The gear wears out over time until the teeth on the gear are stripped, then the door will not open but you will still hear the motor working every time you try to open the door. You can unplug the garage door opener and check the gear if it has been stripped you will notice all the shavings around the gear when you access it. If the gear is in good condition then the logic board may be at fault, we do not have a substitution logic board. I have posted a link of the worm drive gear to view the link click here.
