Q:

Garage Door Remote Model 139.53200 replacement remote 53778

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your garage door opener remote does not work.

It sounds to me like you got the incorrect remote. The remove and opener should have the same number of dip switches. I recommend calling 18004MYHOME to get the correct remote.

Remote part #53778 is the remote that Sears said should work. I also went to the Sears Parts Store and they said the same thing. When I called the 800 number they said they had never heard of a Sears opener with only seven dip switches but unfortunately that is what I have. I guess I am out of luck finding a replacement remote for my Sears Garage Door Opener.

Not all remotes will program to all openers. The expert will review this model opener and remote to respond. I do see there is a remote for this opener available at Sears Parts Direct if needed. I attached that link below.
