A:

Thank you for your question.

This could be caused by a number of things.

It could be a bearing that is loosing its grease and causing extra drag and high amps on the motor.

The trigger switch controls both the power for the saw motor and the brake circuit.

From the information that you have provided I would recommend replacing the trigger switch and the brushes.

If you have a bearing going bad it may be a little hard to tell because of the gear reduction.

If you decide to replace the switch and the brushes I will give you the part numbers.

The trigger limit switch is part number 0LU2 for about $3.50 and the brush number which you will two of is: 0QQT for about $5.19 each.

After checking the saw you have more details please reply and I will be glad to help your further.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

Can you send me a wiring diagram for my Craftsman miter saw?

A:

We do not have any wiring information on your miter saw. This is something field technicians are expected to adapt to with their knowledge and experience. I recommend you take the saw to a Sears Service Center or a Sears retail store and get a technician to replace the switch. Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations: Sears Home Services
