Q:

mowe blade engagement cable

A:

I am sorry that you are having some difficulties locating a part for your tractor. I did some research and I was able to find the owners manual for your tractor. I am also adding a link below in where you can enter the model number of your tractor and a parts list diagram will pop up. I hope this helps while you wait for your expert response.

Hi Gene,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

There is not a cable that engages the blades. The knob that comes out of the dash connects to a series of parts that connect to engage the blades. These parts are listed below and demonstrated in the image I gave you.

  1. key 78 LEVER ASSEMBLY CLUTCH PRI PLM STLT
  2. key 73 ARM, CLUTCH, SECONDARY
  3. key 82 TRUNNION, ADJ.
  4. key 71 ROD, CLUTCH, PRIMARY, WITH NIBS
  5. key 43 ROD, CLUTCH, SECONDARY, WITH NIBS
  6. key 41 ROD, PIVOT, WITH NIBS
  7. key 55 ARM, IDLER
You will need to determine which of these parts is broken or loose. Here is a link that shows the key numbers above; Mower .

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website; Sears Home Services .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.

Hi Gene,

The original model number you gave me does not have an engagement cable. The part number you gave me in your last post is for a completely different tractor. I am including images below that should help you with this cable.

If I may be of further assistance please include a correct model number and more details in a reply to this post.

Hi Gene,

The model number is under the seat on most models. The model number is the only reliable way to make sure you get the correct parts. As I stated the model number that you gave me and the model number on that owners manual are not for your lawn tractor.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this post.

Q:

What is the Element TV code for my ATT remote?

A:

Universal remote controls have preprogrammed codes for certain makes of TVs. The set of commands that is unlocked by the remote code can sometimes be similar to that of another manufacturer that uses a similar circuit. I have had many questions like this and have found forums posts by consumers that report Vizio codes work sometimes. I have seen 1431 mentioned and Vizio code 1343 as well. The best way to program it is to use the auto search feature. I am assuming you are trying to program an ATT Uverse receiver. This support page here includes a great commonly requested set-up codes section. Also right next to it there's a guide on how to auto program which will make sure that if there's code in that remote that can control your TV, it will find it. It just can be very tedious to search through all the numbers which I can confirm from experience.
