The air gap between the coil and flywheel should be set between .010 (10k) or .012 (12k). It's usually set to .010.

Dryer 11076972501 will not heat. 110.76972501

A:

Checked the thermal fuse and it reads good. Checked the thermistor and it reads around 12K ohms. Is this a normal reading for this?

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model number 11076972501; it sounds like the solenoids may be malfunctioning. The igniter wouldn’t glow if a thermostat or fuse is bad. The solenoids may need to be replaced.
