Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with installing the lid gasket on a chest freezer. We are here to help. To replace the door gasket, lift the lip of the gasket. Next, you will see some clips key number 27 (second image), holding the panel and gasket in place. Pop these clips out, and the inner panel will be loose. Please review the third image for these instructions. You can now remove the panel and install the new one. Just line up the holes from the panel and gasket with the holes in the door frame and reinsert the clips (rivets). The new gasket does not come with new plastic clips. I hope this helps.
