Q:

Power cord replacement

A:

It is very important to have detailed instruction when replacing a major part on your vacuum such as the power cord. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I did manage to find a link that will provide you with more information about the installation process of a power cord. I hope my link is useful.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to replace the cord yourself.

  • First remove the Power Mate from the wands and flip upside down to locate and remove the two screws that hold the top cover on the Power Mate.

  • Once removed flip unit back over and release the lever for the wand tube and lay down.

  • With a straight blade screwdriver release (pry) the 4 plastic tabs to release top cover

  • Lift the cover up and release from the front tabs and set to the side.

  • Remove the floor level control by flexing the plastic tabs to remove so you can access the wire harness.

  • Remove the plastic snap on cover for the wire harness to remove old harness.

  • Position the new harness and route wires through the slots in the plastic to make sure none of them get pinched.

I have included some picture for clarity.

I hope this will help with replacing the harness.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

11623512300 KENMORE Vac parts list for PowerMate floor sweeper attachment is missing.

A:

The parts list diagram for the PowerMate floor sweeper attachment can be viewed by using model number 11653512300 (change the 4th digit which is 2 to a 5). The part number for the rear wheel is 4370724.

The image below shows how to remove the cover from the PowerMate assembly. Once you remove the cover, you should be able to remove the broken wheel. It appears that you will need to pinch in on the prongs of the wheels that protrude through the side of the PowerMate assembly to release and remove the wheel.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.

Q:

How do I replace the agitator on my Kenmore model 116.53512300 vacuum?

A:

The part information I have says that the agitator's visual design was changed but it should still mount the same. The 1st image below is a picture of the agitator. The part number is 8192535 and should not have changed. If you got a different part number then it is possible you received the wrong agitator.

The 2nd image contains the instructions for changing the belt and the agitator. Review the instructions and note the square in the middle of the agitator end caps lines up.

I hope this information is helpful resolving your problem but if you have any additional questions then submit another question with additional details for further assistance.
