Hello Arvid,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with your vacuum and I would like to assist you. There are several items that can cause the check bag light to come on. Essentially, any restriction in air flow could potentially cause this. I have included an excerpt from the owner's manual from pages 18 and 19 that explains how to check the vacuum for clogs. I think that if you follow through this process that your check bag light will go away.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.

Press the reset on the motor protector on top of the nozzle. The blockage probably tripped the protector.

If the brush roller still does not turn, I suggest you take the vacuum to a Sears Repair Center. You can go to Home Services to find the nearest location.
