Q:

CHECK BAG LIGHT 11639110900 Kenmore Vacuum cleaner

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your vacuum. Upon researching model11639110900; the “check bag” indicator light comes on whenever the airflow is restricted. It is normal for the indicator light o come on when certain attachment are being used since the attachments reduce the air flow. Since you have already cleared the clog on the hose and checked the bag, you can check the filters on this model they may need to be replaced.

I trust this information will help you, have a great day.

Q:

I have a Kenmore Intuition Model number 116.31100903 11639110900 Kenmore Vacuum cleaner

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your check bag light on your vacuum will not turn off. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

If the full bag light is on usually indicates if the bag is new and clean that there is a restriction somewhere in the air flow.

Please remove the bag and turn the vacuum on to see if you still have the check light comes on.

If it does then you have a restriction in the air flow where it attaches to the floor nozzle area in the accordion hose.

I would suggest first removing the hose from the nozzle and stretching the hose out to see if it is partially block and then take out the bag and check the elbow where it attaches to the hose.

If you do not find anything there I would suggest that you check the short accordion hose in the lower nozzle. You may have to remove the top cover to see the whole area of the hose for a blockage.

Let me know if this helps.

I have the same problem. The vacuum is making a funny noise as well. Any way I can get the attachment you were talking about Joey?

My Kenmore is brand new and this is the first time I've changed the bag. There are sure a lot of helpful tips here, but for a brand new, barely used vacuum, this is unacceptable. If it were years old, sure. I'm happy to look all over the inside for clogged whatevers. This is less than one frikkin month old!!!

It looks like images can be added now. Joey S., would you please attach those images? I'm having a similar problem with my Kenmore Intuition. The bag light won't go off with a new bag that's inserted properly. Thanks.

I agree with Barbara. Our problems started with the vacuum the very first time we changed the bag. It is unacceptable, I guess what I should have done is buy a Hoover. I have always thought Kenmores to be good, but this is changing my mind.
