Question and Answers

Q:

vacuum not sucking up the dirt 11635922502 Kenmore Vacuum

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Vacuum, Model: 116.35922502. From reviewing the details on your model, I suspect there are some clogs in the hose or wand and floor tool area. Verify the dust bin port and screen is clear of any blockage. Make sure to fully rotate dust bin top when reinstalling. A loose top can affect suction. Clean the primary and exhaust filters. Be sure to check and clean the valve assembly. It is a great place for a clog to hide. If the motor is running and not overheating, that should not be an issue. If the problem continues, you may want to take the vacuum to a service center for a thorough check.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the vacuum to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

Q:

Kenmore Vacuum 11635922502 agitator not working 11735922502

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Vacuum, Model: 116.35922502. From reviewing the details on your model, one problem could be the on/off slides switch on the handle. It could also be the plug in connections on the wands that go to the Power Mate. Check you make sure that all the connections are tight. If you have a meter you could check the receptacle connections on the plug in on the handle and wands, all the way down to the Power Mate. Set the meter to 120 volts ac and check the recessed contacts with the switch in the on position for the vacuum and Power Mate. If you do not have any power going to the wire harness the switch is a possible problem. The only other thing that comes to mind that may be causing the problem would be the bearings in the agitator have seized.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the vacuum to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.
