Q:

No suction when I try to use attachments 11631591110 Kenmore Vacuum

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your attachements will not work properly on your vacuum. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you. Looking more into the unit I have found that there could be a clog in the nozzle itself. I have attached images that will assist you in cleaning your unit.

If this does not work I recomment taking your unit to a service center to get checked.

If there was a clog anywhere at all then there would be no suction whatsoever! I have checked for clogs and there aren't ANY! I keep all of the filters and hoses clean all the time due to allergies and even though we do not have pets, we choose to purchase the vacuum that came with the pethandimate attachment because of the fact that some of my children have horrible dust allergies and we need to vacuum regularly and depending on the season (spring and fall) we vacuum several times a day if it is windy weather because of dust and things that get stirred up. Any time we move furniture in our house we have to vacuum and I need to have my attachments working so that I can get into the corners properly. I do not have time to send it in for repairs, nor do I have the extra income with 10 children, for someone to come to my home to fix it.

My vacuum also does not have a bag, it is a canister vacuum, also for the reasons stated above! So the suggestions you gave me do me absolutely no good because they do not pertain to my model or type of vacuum. You need to actually look at what type of vacuum you are answering questions about before you give advice. I'll just figure things out on my own! Thanks! Please do NOT reply back!

I do apologize I did not answer the question you previously asked. I was able to locate a clog reference to assist you in removing the clog. There can be a clog in the floor/tools selector valve.

I have attached the image to assist you. The information is also located on page 16 of your Owner's Manual.

Thank you for your understanding. Have a great day.

As I indicated previously, THERE IS NO CLOG!!!!!!!!!! Let me state that again - THERE IS NO CLOG!!!!!!!!!! I had already checked my owners manual and gone through the steps that you so kindly posted above. That hose that you show to remove and clean out is only about 3 inches long and IF there is a clog in that hose, YOU CAN SEE IT! You obviously cannot read when I stated in first two comments that there is NO CLOG and NO holes in ANY of the hoses. But, not to worry, I took my canister apart and cleaned everything thoroughly - AGAIN - and washed everything that the manual said I am allowed to wash - AGAIN - and my attachments are working perfectly fine again!
