Question and Answers

Q:

vacuum 11631100902 doesn't suck

A:

With the Kenmore vacuum cleaner only being 8 months old, I can understand your concern when you cannot use it because the indicator bag light stays on. The link provided below is on a similar issue which may be helpful. For warranty information check the owners manual.

Thank you for your question on the vacuum cleaner.

Does the safety bypass valve open when you turn the vacuum on?

It sounds like there is a blockage in the air flow and is be being sucked into air flow when you turn the vacuum on.

You may want to remove the hose from the docking port on the nozzle base to see if you have good suction at the end of the hose.

If you do not have good suction at the end of the hose then I would check the hose for something in the hose causing the blockage.

Please let me know if you find it or not and we can continue to troubleshoot.

Sam A. you got it right. a plug right at the hard curve at the docking port. it was so hard packed that it took work with a plumber's snake to get it out. i think a wire tie started the mess and it built from there. thanks, ken
