Q:

HOSE REPLACEMENT 11627512790 Kenmore Vacuum cleaner

Q:

Can you give me instructions on re-attaching a wheel on my vacuum?

A:

Thank You for contacting ManageMyLife.com

I understand the frustration when your trying to vacuum your carpets and suddenly the wheel falls off. After researching your model, I show there are serverl different wheels. Since you did not specify which one, I will be happy to provide some information on each wheel.

Rear Wheels on Canister- When is comes to these back wheels. There is usually something wrong with the wheel itself or the base assembly to the canister. These wheels just pop on to the base assembly and if they are not staying place then either the wheel is cracked or the base assembly of the canister is, the base for this model is no longer available. You would want to replace the vacuum if this is the issue. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the parts you would need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

There are 2 screws at the front of the back cover on the vacuum. To access the 2 screws at the back of the cover, you must remove the on/off pedal.

To remove the on/off pedal, grasp it with both hands. Place your knee in the center area of the vacuum to hold it down and pull the on/off pedal straight up. You have to pull very hard to remove the pedal. You will think the pedal will break, but it won't.
