Q:

116.26312603 Power Mate Replacement

A:

Thank you for your question. I know searching for replacement parts can be frustrating. I checked for a complete power head replacement for your model.  Unfortunately the manufacturer is no longer producing the power head for this model.  I checked for a generic replacement, but was not able to locate one to fit.  I do see there are parts for this power head still available. If there is a specific issue that may help get your current power head moving, we may be able to help. If you would like to check new vacuums, you can do so at Sears .  Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

I have 3 kenmore vac's and can't find parts for any of them. Why? 11626312603 Kenmore Vacuum

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the issues you are having in locating the parts, I know how frustrating that can be.
You didn't provide a lot of detail into which parts you are looking for and whether they go to the canister or the PowerMate. Keep in mind the PowerMate has its own model on the bottom cover stamped into the plastic. It will usually be the same model as the canister with the exception of the first number past the 116. The PowerMates are usually a 5 versus a 2 for the canister. With the model you provided of 116.26312603, the PowerMate for it should be 116.56312603. The canister model you provided is valid, so if that's what you are plugging into the website, make sure you are selecting 'Model Search' as the type of search and you should have no issue.
Hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Thank you for your question on the power mate only working with the forward motion.

I am sorry that you are having this entire problem with then connections contact points on the vacuum power mate.

I defiantly sound like a connection problem either where the handle connects to the wand or where the wand connects down at the power mate tube connection.

It sounds like the connections are coming apart or not making positive connection when you pull it backwards and then when you push it forward if remakes the connection.

Please examine the pin contacts on both ends of the wand connections to the handle.

It may be as simple as using a sharp probe and putting the sharp probe between the connector on the female side of the handle socket and compress the socket connections to see if that improves operation. Do this on both the top handle and the bottom of the wand where is plugs into the power mate.

You also may see some black residue on the connectors and you will possible need to replace the wire harnesses if this improved the problem any.

Take a look at these parts below.

Wire harness for handle on 116.23512300 .

Bottom wand for model 116.23512300 .

I hope this will help you diagnosis the connection problems.

Please let me know how it worked out.

Sam A.
