Thank you for your question on the vacuum cleaner wiring harness.

The wiring diagram for all 116 canisters is on the underside of the motor hood.

I do not and cannot recommend changing the harness from one model vacuum to another.

If you use both diagrams you may be able to figure it out.

How do I remove the hose from the adapters and then reattach them to the new hose on vacuum cleaner model 116.2481190?

A:

There are clips that secure the collar on each end of the hose. These clips will normally coincide with the seams in the collar and the fitting. The image below shows the method for removing the collar from the swivel assembly to access the wiring connections for the hose. You should be able to use this procedure to remove the collar on each end of the hose and replace it.
