Q:

21000 evo kenmore hand vacum attatchment 116.23512300

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about the compatibility of your Kenmore hand held vacuum model 21000 and your Kenmore canister vacuum 116.23512300. I will be happy to help you with this.

You will need to get some information off of the canister vacuum that we do not maintain in our files. The hand held vacuum owner’s manual outlines where to look on the vacuum. I have included the link below for you to view the manual online.

On page 6 of the manual, there are instructions on how to determine if the parts from the canister vacuum will be compatible. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question on the power mate only working with the forward motion.

I am sorry that you are having this entire problem with then connections contact points on the vacuum power mate.

I defiantly sound like a connection problem either where the handle connects to the wand or where the wand connects down at the power mate tube connection.

It sounds like the connections are coming apart or not making positive connection when you pull it backwards and then when you push it forward if remakes the connection.

Please examine the pin contacts on both ends of the wand connections to the handle.

It may be as simple as using a sharp probe and putting the sharp probe between the connector on the female side of the handle socket and compress the socket connections to see if that improves operation. Do this on both the top handle and the bottom of the wand where is plugs into the power mate.

You also may see some black residue on the connectors and you will possible need to replace the wire harnesses if this improved the problem any.

Take a look at these parts below.

Wire harness for handle on 116.23512300 .

Bottom wand for model 116.23512300 .

I hope this will help you diagnosis the connection problems.

Please let me know how it worked out.

Sam A.
