Q:

How do you replace the plug? 11621513001 Kenmore Canister vacuum cleaner

A:

Thepower mate need to be unplugged before doing the following:

1 To replace the power cord in the power mate, locate the plastic cover on the back side of the swivel. Next,  pop it off by putting back pressure on the left side where the cover attaches to the swivel base.

2 Remove the plug from the docking locations. Note: how the wire is routed.

3 Push the pedal release and move the swivel down.

4 Now, remove the top light lens by putting both thumbs on the front face of the lens and push up.

5 Remove the light bulb. (Push in and twist left).

6 Locate and remove the two Phillips screws next to light socket.

7 Lift from the back and hinge forward the top cover and release from the front tabs.

8 Lift up on the grey and white lever for the floor adjuster and pop out of its location.

9 This will not expose the grey wire for the power. Unhook the wire from its retainer locations. (Note: the wire routing and its path. If you do not get the wire back in its same locations you may pinch and damage the wires when re-installing.)

10 Un-twist the white wire connection for the light, motor, power cord.

11 Locate the red button overload and pop it out of its holder and remove the black wire from the center contact.

12 At this point you should be able to install the new wire harness.

13 Connect all the whites wires with the wire nut. Next, connect the black wire to the overload contact location and snap the overload back into place.

14 Make sure you have all the wire tucked back in there proper locations.

15 Re-install the height adjuster by tilting and tucking the two white tabs under the two black tabs on the base and push down to snap into place.

16 Re-install the top cover by locating the front tabs and setting down and snapping into position. Making sure that the reset button aligns with the reset switch. Re-install the two Phillips screws and re-install the light bulb.

  17 Re-install the light lens.

18 Re-locate the power wire in the channel and position it in the back of the swivel and snap the cover on. I hope this helps.

Q:

White cellulose disposable filter 11621513001 Kenmore Canister vacuum cleaner

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly assist you in locating the filter for your vacuum. I did look into the model number you have provided and I do apologize I am only locating 4 filters. I do not see a filter that is white. All the filters in the diagram are blad except for the motor safety filter that is white and grey. The exhaust filter also has a white side that you will need to place down. I think you are needing the motor safety filter. Click here to view the diagram.

Let me know if any of the filters are what you need.

Q:

how do i replace the hose 11621513001 Kenmore Canister vacuum cleaner

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com. The hose can be somewhat tricky to replace on the canister vacuums. I have attached a few images below to help assist with the installation.

You will need to release tabs for the collar on the swivel assembly that is on the other side of the hose. The tabs on the collar are orientated along the plastic seams of the collar. You may be able to twist the tabs of the collar off of the tabs on the swivel as you did for the handle collar. This will take significant force on the swivel side. If you are not able to twist and release the tabs, you will need to pry outward with small flat tip screw drivers on the collar as shown in the second image below to release the tabs on the swivel. Once you release the collar, you can switch out the hose in the same manner as you did on the handle connection.

Here are the images:
