Q:

Can't find "vacation" mode on water heater. Just moved into new one. Is it necessary if going away for 6 weeks.

A:

Thanks for the inquiry about your water heater model 153.321542, I will be glad to assist you. The heater does not have a vacation model. It is always a good idea to turn off water supplies and electricity to appliances when they are not in use for extended times, especially if no one is available to check them often.  I hope this is helpful to you. Should you need service here is a link to Sears Home Services. Ron H.

Joseph did provide you a good link on this problem. I recommend that you use it. Just click here to view that link. I suspect wire is plugged in that is no longer needed. That would free up the slot. I hope this helps.
