Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the saw. The motor pulley should just slide on to the motor shaft. Then align the slots in the shaft and pulley. Once aligned push the key into the slot. This will keep the pulley from spinning on the shaft. Once every thing is aligned, tighten the setscrew on the back of the pulley. The image below has the instructions for attaching the pulley and the motor to the saw. Please click on the image to enlarge it. If you are missing any of the parts or if the motor pulley is loose on the shaft you can order them from our parts website: Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful .please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

How far back on the spindle is the wheel supposed to go so that it tracks correctly with the upper wheel on my Craftsman model 113.247410 bandsaw?

A:

The Owner's manual for this model number is very non specific on where exactly the wheel fits on the spindle.

  • The lower wheel should be perpendicular to the upper wheel on the same vertical plane. You can also view the Owner's manual at Manage My Home. I included a link to the owner's manual for you. Please click on Owner's manual
I suggest that you examine the spindle for a "shoulder", or "wear" marks where the locking (set) screw was initially tightened.
