Thank you for your question.

I have done some searching and looks like I have found the instructions on installing and removing the chuck. I believe the chuck on you drill press is secured with a collar. The image below shows how to remove it. If the collar seems to be seized you can soak it down with WD-40 and see if it helps.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the drill press.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Hello Todd I will be happy to assist you with the repair. First, unplug the drill press from the wall. Then extend the spindle all the way down. While holding the spindle down, try to wiggle it side to side. If there is any play in the shaft, I suspect the bearings are at fault. As for the removing the chuck I am not sure. If you could reply with a model number, I will be happy to look it up. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark T.

I have tried to look up the model number you have submitted. I am sorry I could not find any information on that model. The steps for removing the bearings on mot models are to unplug the drill press. Then remove the pulley on the top of the spindle. Then remove gear that is attached to the downward travel handle. Then you will need to remove the snap rings that secure the bearings. Most will have an inner and outer snap ring. Once they are removed, you might have to tap the bearings out. Be careful not to nick the shaft or housing. Once the bearings are removed, take them to a local bearing supplier to have them matched up. I am sorry I could not give you more information.
